Actually I have so many apples at home! My mom always gives me so many and although I eat an apple every day, according to the saying “A apple a day keeps the doctor away”, they just don’t get any less. I honestly have to say that I don’t really make apple pie that much, so it was time again.
For this recipe you need:
Dough:
- 60g egg white
- 100g almond milk
- 60g spelt flour
- 40g vanilla protein powder
- 3 apples
- 100g low-fat quark
- some baking powder
- some salt
- some cinnamon
Crumble:
- 15g rolled oats
- 5g ground almonds
- 5g agave syrup or honey
- 20g apple puree
- some cinnamon
Wash the apples and cut them into small pieces. Mix the liquid ingredients in a bowl and add the dry ones. When all the ingredients are well mixed, add the apples. Cover an ovenproof dish with baking paper and pour in the mixture. To finish, mix all the ingredients for the crumbles and put them on top. Bake the cake at 160°C circulating air for about 30 minutes.
